Thinking of McSweeney's, did you (or Matt) happen to catch the excerpt from Michael Chabon's script for Spider-Man 2? Apparently the whole thing was up as a PDF for a brief time; by the time I got there it had been removed.
Re: Chabon's S-M2 script, yes, I read the first couple pages of it. It was entertaining but not all that different in tone than what eventually made it on to the screen.
The purpose of this blog is to provide perspectives on movies, television shows, and other pop culture occurrences. The contributors have a wide variety of preferences and opinions, and these will not be censored or adjusted to fit a certain mold. You may not agree with what we have to say (we certainly don't agree with each other most of the time), but hopefully you will find it interesting, enlightening, or helpful in some way.

There's some analysis of the differences at io9; tone aside, it sounds like it was actually very different.
