I loved
this entry on the
United Hollywood blog today. Basically, one of the bloggers suggests that someone contact
Google and cut out the middlemen (the studios): just have
Google contract the WGA, en masse, to start writing for the Internet... but under terms that reflect its value (and who'd know that better than
Google?)
Obviously it's written very tongue-in-cheek but it certainly afforded the author many opportunities to vent his frustrations with the writers' current situation. I particularly liked:
"If Google wanted, they could scoop up THE ENTIRE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. We are all available."
